FOR STUDENTS WHO ARE APPLYING TO A Ph.D. PROGRAM FOR THE FIRST TIME
#1 Students applying to the Oregon State University IGERT Ecosystem Informatics (EI) program must apply to and be accepted by the graduate school.
- On your application, write the word "IGERT" Ecosystem Informatics” to the right of line 1. on the Application for Graduate Admissions Form for OSU. If you are applying on-line, write the word "IGERT Ecosystem Informatics" in the MAIS section of the application form.
- In your application, be sure to mention your interest in the IGERT Ecosystem Informatics program in your Statement of Purpose.
#2 Also send a more detailed letter directly to the IGERT office (104 Wilkinson Attn: Admissions Committee) about your interest in the IGERT EI program and indicate the college and/or department in which you would like to work and have applied to.
Applications should be sent directly through the Admissions office rather than to colleges or departments. However, some colleges and departments require additional documentation from their applicants.

FOR STUDENTS WHO HAVE ALREADY BEEN ACCEPTED TO A Ph.D. PROGRAM

Send a more detailed letter directly to the IGERT office (104 Wilkinson Attn: Admissions Committee) about your interest in the IGERT EI program and indicate the college and/or department in which you are working and your faculty advisor. You should indicate which of the following 3 fellowships you are applying for

Have your application materials which you have used for acceptance into the Ph.D program (Updating letters of Rec. if appropriate) forwarded to Katherine Hoffman, 104 Wilkinson Hall.
